Give Riggleman and Mel Stottlemyre—unless he gets the ax, too—a chance to turn the guy’s head around. You run the risk of him continuing to pitch poorly and lowering his value even more, but it’s hard to imagine what him doing much worse would look like. He struggled early last season, too, before rebounding, so Seattle needs to give him a chance to prove himself before just dumping him in the name of “cleaning house.”
